What to Avoid when Designing for Bodies

There are many ways to make a good design, and you'll make your best if you avoid some of these awkward layouts.

Hone your layout skills by previewing your design with Artemix, keeping the below pitfalls in mind.

The template is mirrored. When you lay down lines, pay attention to the angles at the back rise (the ass seam). If the angles do not match, it’s probably going to be distracting. It is most pleasing to the eye when the lines that meet along the seam mirror each other.

Notice how the two smaller triangles on the back seams merge into a lovely tighty-whitey shape when stitched together.

This pattern made an interesting shape, but the placement is not ideal. Whatever is placed near the point of the front rise is going to appear on the front of the crotch.
